Keri Hakamaddah , 13 years

Kerri is a teenager who lives in Bubwa Village. Even though she's older than most kids in her class because she started school late, she stays focused on her studies, even though her family doesn't have much money.

Many girls in Bubwa Village become mothers while they're still young, but Kerri's mom works hard to keep her from becoming one of them. When she's not in school, Kerri helps out at home with chores, like the other kids in the village.

In Bubwa Village, many girls drop out of school, but Kerri knows that education could give her a better life.
